As a parent of adopted twin boys, this is the best book about the personal journey of "choosing this day. A MUST read for all Leon Mentzer, author the Melissa (adoptee) from Kansas says: "I received your book today from my mother-in-law and read it in 3 hours. You made my day reading your story. Thanks for the inspirations! You see 2 weeks ago I wrote to my birth mother and she wrote back the next day. We spoke on the phone for the first time last week and I haven't come down from the clouds since. My story is very similar to yours. Not long ago I had health reasons to seek out my birth family and with the help of close friends and a loving husband I did. It's amazing how easy it was with the help of the computer. I also started going back to church and bible study just a month ago and I can't believe how much as happened since then. Thanks so much for taking the time to read this email and respond. God works through wonderful ways!! Thanks again for taking the time to care about me and my life."
Subject: Reunited and it feels so good! "Thank you so much for sharing your story, Sharon. It has just been published and God is already using it to change lives. God bless! So much has happened since I read your book last Thursday night, I'm overwhelmed. What a wonderful book. (Thank you God for turning her darkness into light, her mourning into dancing, her sorrow into joy.) Your book definitely moved me to forgive and ask for forgiveness of the bdad which brought about this reunion." Tiffany (adoptive mom) from

I too could not put this book down. As an adoptive mother, it was so moving to hear Sharon's story as a birthmother. It is a 'must read' for anyone considering placing their child for adoption and for adoptive parents.
I could NOT put this book down. It is the first book I've read in many years. There was so much love, concern for others, and family support in this book. It was great.
I Choose This Day was a quick read. Once I started reading, I couldn't put it down until I finished. I was touched by this well-written, moving, real life story.

A reviewer, A reviewer, 11/06/2006 As a lifelong friend, it is overwhelming to read I Choose This Day and realize the years of silence the author experienced. However, in God's timing her gift of writing and speaking have blossomed. You can't put the book down. What a wonderful example of the miracles of adoption. |
