Dorfuss Bubblebutt
by Cynthia Jean Mueller

Three endearing orphans with the world at their fingertips; one witchcraft-practicing
spinster aunt with a strong dislike for her legal charges; and a feline hero with a penchant for
mischief.  These are the elements found inside the pages of the wildly humorous, inventive,
and lighthearted children's fiction "Dorfuss Bubblebutt".

The three Walter's children-Jonathan, James and Jenna-have been orphaned as the result of a
freak accident, and their spiteful aunt Hilda, a grouchy woman with a yen for witchcraft;
becomes their legal guardian.  She pursues them with her attempts at evil spells while a
different guardian, dubbed "Dorfuss Bubblebutt" by the children, does his best to protect
them from their aunt's witchly wiles.

Join these zany characters on a thrilling, sometimes funny, oftentimes scary adventure.  You
will find yourself in a page-turning tale reminiscent of the best elements of J.K. Rowling and
Lemony Snicket, combined with the author's own unique talent and style to form one
magically entertaining fable.  Anyone who loves children, animals, and silliness is sure to
enjoy "Dorfuss Bubblebutt" in all of its engagingly puerile charm.

This novel is also inside-illustrated by Cynthia Jean Mueller
Be sure to read her first novel too, entitled "Beyond the Garden Arbor".

Cynthia Mueller is married and lives in the Midwest, with her husband and teenage son.
She is the mother of three, and the grandmother of six.  Cynthia has enjoyed writing
all of her life.  However, until approximately two and a half years ago, she didn't realize
just how much.  Life had gotten in the way for her, for many years.  She drives a school
bus full time for one of her local school districts, and has driven for nearly twenty years
now.  Her job, and her family life, have kept her very busy.

Cynthia felt that something was missing in her life, however, that kept calling to her.
Something still seemed to be left undone.  So, first she entered a poem in a poetry
contest, just for fun, to see if it would be accepted.  It was, and to date, she has had
five poems published.  She has received the International Library of Poetry's
Outstanding Achievement award.  Feeling that she had accomplished something special,
it began to enter her mind that perhaps she was capable of writing a novel, as well.
She always has had a wild, creative imagination, and loves to delve into art as well.

She loves the kids that she works with, and they have been the main inspiration for
her creativity in her writing.

Her first work other than poetry; Beyond the Garden Arbor, is the book that you see
featured here.  It is a juvenile fiction novel, written to appeal to pre-teens, and teens,
mainly girls.  It contains two original poems by Cynthia, as well as twenty-five of her
own, original illustrations.   Women are also finding this book interesting reading, as
well.  The use of vivid, colorful imagination and magical qualities, combined with a
constant change in situations with the main character, keep the reader always on the
edge of their seat, wanting to find out what will happen next!

It is Cynthia's main objective to continue to create interesting, Christian-based,
wholesome fiction-fantasy novels that will appeal to the general public, in the hopes
of bringing them closer to Our Heavenly Father, and his Son, Jesus Christ.  What
better way, than to write stories that are interesting and thought-provoking enough
to compete with anything that mainstream entertainment venues might produce?
Beyond the Garden Arbor accomplishes just that!  This is a good read for
adolescents and adults as well.

Cynthia is currently working on two more juvenile fiction novels, as well as poems
and illustrations for both of those books.  With God's Help and Blessings, she
hopes to have them in production sometime in the near future.  These are entirely
different stories, made to appeal to both boys and girls.  Keep your eyes open for
them in the days to come!  Thank you so much for taking the time to check out my
book on this website.  May the Lord Bless you and keep you!

Uncover the magical and wondrous secrets and treasure that lay                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Beyond the Garden Arbor!

Writer Finds Gift Later in Life by Frank Vaisvilas

Mueller Porch

Although she loves her job working with children as a school bus driver

for the Plano school district, it was not until later in life when she figured

out what she believes she was born to do. “I wished I would've realized

that sooner,” said Cynthia Mueller. Mueller, 49, of Plano recently had a

book published, “Beyond the Garden Arbor.” “I've always loved to write,”

Mueller said. Yet, she did not seriously pursue it as a profession until

more recently. She submitted a manuscript to Tate Publishing and

Enterprises, a Christian publisher based in Oklahoma.

“They only accept 4 percent of their manuscripts is what I was told,”

Mueller said. Before that, she had submitted poems to sites, such as poetry.com.“

I got to thinking maybe I'm good enough to try to write a novel,” Mueller

said. The book is targeted toward girls and pre-teen girls. The fantasy/fiction

follows a girl growing up and has themes of family, love and morals.

“I believe that there is a shortage of wholesome reading out there for the age

group that my book is written for,” Mueller said. The idea for her story came

when she overheard one of the children she buses talk about a secret place

in their backyard. “I used my own love of nature and gardening,” Mueller said.

She began thinking of the story throughout the rest of the school year ending

in 2006. “By the time school let, I pretty much had the whole story in my head,”

Mueller said. She believes working with children throughout the years has kept

her youthful and has helped her.

Now, she is beginning to go to book signings and promote her book.

“Things are really just starting to happen now,” Mueller said. She had a book

signing at the Plano Library on Jan. 26 with Plano Mayor William Roberts.

The book is sold on web sites, such as Amazon and Borders.

And she has a few book signing events scheduled at area Barnes and Noble

bookstores. She hopes her book will be picked up by school districts and said

it could also be used for home-schooled children. She adds that parents can

be assured that her Christian-based book does not contain anything offensive

or anything they would not want their children to read. Mueller also has other

books in the works. This time, she is writing for both boys and girls.
