New Book by Missouri Author, Nostalgic Look at Small Town Life

Tate Publishing and Enterprises, LLC, has announced the release of 'A Summer Long Remembered', the first book in The Oak Grove Chronicles series by Missouri author, Sharon Travers. This book is a glimpse of post-war America told in a delightful and interesting writing style.

Set in a small town at the close of World War II-it is a place that seems familiar to us all. Characters are typical of that era when the country was healing and eager for the future, no one locked their doors and the church was still the most important social gathering palce of the community. It's all here- the mischief, the romance, the coming of age stories, the fun, and the strength of community and purpose.

Featuring Pastor Mike Daniels and a host of colorful characters a time long forgotten is brought back to life, mystery, romance, and humor abound, life is simple, and sleepy little town of Oak Grove is one you will wish you had known. The sequel, 'Stranger in Our Midst', is scheduled for release later this year.

Author Sharon Travers, was born in St. Louis, then raised in the small town of Festus on the banks of the Mississippi. Travers still lives in that same community where she married, raised a family, and remains active in her local church. Now retired, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and pursuing her interest in sketching, antiquing, and the American Civil War.
