New Book by Missouri Author

Nostalgic Look at Small Town Life

Post-War 1946

Tate Publishing and Enterprises, LLC, has announced the release of A Summer Long Remembered, the first book in The Oak Grove Chronicles series by Missouri author, Sharon Travers.  The book is a glimpse of post-war America told in a delightful and interesting writing style.

“We are pleased to offer this charming book that takes place in a town at the close of World War II – a town that seems familiar to us all. Characters are typical of that era when the country was healing and eager for the future, no one locked their doors and the church was still the most important social gathering place of the community. It’s all here—the mischief, the romance, the coming of age stories, the fun, the strength of community and purpose.

Author, Sharon Travers, was born in St. Louis, then raised in the small town of Festus on the banks of the Mississippi. Travers still lives in that same community where she married, raised a family, and remains active in her local church. Now retired, she enjoys spending time with her family and can devote more time to her hobbies: sketching, antiquing, and she is a Civil War history buff. She also continues to write.

A Summer Long Remembered is available for ordering in any bookstore and also on many web sites including amazon.com, barnesandnoble.com, and walmart.com. The book is also available and featured at tatepublishing.com. The author will be scheduled for book signings and other book events in the area in the weeks to come.
